Under the guidelines of the Macon County Continuum of Care (CoC), Community Investment Corporation of Decatur, Inc. provides adequate and quality permanent supportive housing to those that are homeless in Decatur Macon County. The CoC is a voluntary, unincorporated network of stakeholders. It has been around since 1994, and its role is to oversee planning and coordination of all organizations that provide services and housing for people who are homeless. Supportive housing is an evidence-based housing intervention that combines non-time-limited affordable housing assistance with wrap-around supportive services for people experiencing homelessness, as well as other people with disabilities. Dove-Homeward Bound provides the supportive services to the recipients of said housing. The Community Investment Corporation is one of the founding members of the Macon County Continuum of Care.
